LTS Athletics

Privacy Policy

Last updated August 18, 2026

LTS Athletics is a habit-coaching app built and operated by Ryan Lipinski, doing business as LTS Athletics, based in San Diego, California ("we," "us," "LTS Athletics"). This policy explains what the app collects, why, who can see it, and how you can control or delete it. It covers the LTS Athletics app only, not our website or social media accounts.

The short version

This box is a plain-language summary. The full sections below are what actually govern.

1.What we collect

Your account

An email address and password, used to sign you in through Supabase, our authentication provider. Your password is hashed before it is stored; we do not keep it in plain text and cannot read it. You also choose a display name, which is what other members see, not your email address.

Your check-ins

Which daily habits you complete, your points, your level, and your streaks.

Optional wellness logging

If you choose to log them: alcoholic drinks and caffeine, in milligrams, for the day. An evening journal covering energy, stress, mood, and soreness scores, whether your "kitchen is closed," a tag for what disrupted your day, and an optional note up to 140 characters.

Your profile

Whatever you choose to fill in: sex, your goal and your "why," height, weight, age, typical weekly activity level, work hours, habits you are trying to break, current injuries or issues, and notes to your coach. Height, weight, age, sex, and activity level feed directly into your daily nutrition and training targets.

Community and coaching

Messages and photos you post in group chat channels, and private messages between you and your coach. Friend requests you send, accept, decline, or ignore, and any member you block.

Competitions

Duels, pacts, and group challenges you join or create, and your results in them.

Connected services (optional)

If you connect Oura or Apple Health, we collect additional data described in their own sections below, because both involve real health data and deserve a closer look.

Payments

Handled entirely by Stripe. See "Payments" below for what that means.

Automatically, in the background

Our hosting and backend providers, Supabase and Netlify, log standard technical information to keep the app secure and reliable, such as IP address, device, and browser type. We do not use this for tracking or advertising, and we do not run any analytics or advertising tools inside the app.

2.How we use it

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. Ever.

3.Who can see what (members and your coach)

Everyone on the leaderboard

Every member can see your level, points, streak, and daily ring completion (how many of your habit targets you hit that day). Nothing else is shown there by default.

Friends see more, if you let them

Your goal and your "why" are visible to friends by default; you can switch this to private in your profile's privacy settings. Your height, weight, and daily targets are private by default; you choose whether to share them with friends. Friendship requires two-way consent: you send a request, the other person accepts it. Either of you can block a member at any time, which ends the connection.

Your coach

Coach Ryan can always see your full profile, logs, and journal, regardless of your privacy settings, because coaching decisions depend on that information.

Chat and messages

Group chat channels are visible to every member of that channel, including any photos posted there. Private messages between you and your coach are visible only to the two of you. See "Retention & deletion" for how long messages stick around.

Competitions

Duels, pacts, and group challenges are visible to the people taking part in them.

4.Apple Health (iOS and Apple Watch apps)

If you allow it, the app reads your workouts from Apple Health, on your device, using Apple's HealthKit framework: the workout type, duration, calories, average heart rate, and start time. We use this to automatically check off your training habit and to show your day's workouts inside the app.

If you start a workout from the LTS Apple Watch app, LTS also saves that workout to Apple Health when you end it: the workout type, its duration, and the calories and heart rate measured during the session. This is the standard way fitness apps record Apple Watch workouts, and it counts toward your Apple activity rings. We never write anything you did not start yourself, and we never change or delete anything else in your Health data.

5.Oura (optional)

If you connect an Oura Ring account, our server fetches your data directly from Oura's API, not from your phone, and stores it linked to your account. This includes your daily readiness, sleep, and activity scores, plus the detail behind them: sleep stages and duration, time in bed, sleep efficiency, bedtimes, resting heart rate and heart rate variability, breathing rate, body temperature trend, step count, calories, and activity-intensity minutes.

We use this to personalize your daily targets and to automatically verify sleep and training habits. Your data syncs automatically overnight while your Oura connection stays active.

Because this is detailed health data, we treat it carefully: it is visible only to you and your coach, never shown on the leaderboard or to friends, and never used for advertising or sold to anyone.

You can disconnect Oura at any time by removing LTS Athletics' access from your Oura account settings, or by emailing us and we will disable the connection on our end.

5a.Strava (optional)

If you connect a Strava account, our server fetches your recent activities directly from Strava's API and stores them linked to your account: the activity type, when it started, how long it lasted, and its estimated calories. We use this to log your workouts automatically, verify your training habit, fill your daily activity bar, and show your workout on the team board (see "Workout log" for exactly what teammates see).

We store the tokens Strava gives us so we can keep syncing while your connection is active. Those tokens are held server-side only, and the app itself can never read them. Your activities sync shortly after you connect and then about once an hour.

You can disconnect at any time by revoking LTS Athletics in your Strava settings under My Apps, or by emailing us and we will remove the connection and your synced activities on our end.

5b.Workout log

You can log workouts by hand in the app: the exercises, sets, weight and reps, and the duration. From that we compute totals like volume lifted, weight moved per muscle group, an estimated calorie figure, and a strength trend per lift. Workouts synced from Strava or verified by Apple Health land in the same log.

What teammates can see: the summary line for each workout you log this week: your name, the day, total volume, number of sets, and duration. They do not see your individual exercises, weights, reps, or heart rate. When you finish a workout, teammates get a short in-app note that you banked one. Coach Ryan can see your full log to coach you.

Workout logs are deleted with your account.

6.Payments

Subscriptions are $19.99 per month after a 7-day free trial, billed and processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number, expiration date, or any other card details; Stripe handles all of that. The name you use to sign in is shared with Stripe so we can match your payment to your account, and we store your subscription status (active, trialing, or canceled) along with Stripe's reference IDs to keep your access in sync.

Your subscription renews automatically each month until canceled. Canceling your subscription is separate from deleting your account: deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Cancel through Stripe, or email us and we will cancel it for you.

Stripe keeps its own billing and transaction records as required by financial regulations, independent of anything we store.

7.Sharing & processors

We share data only with the service providers that make the app work, and only what each one needs to do its job:

That is the complete list. No ad networks, no analytics trackers, no data brokers, no third party we have not named here. We do not sell your personal data to anyone, under any circumstances. We would only share your data outside this list if required by law, for example a valid subpoena, or to protect the safety of our members.

8.Retention & deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active.

Group chat messages are automatically deleted after about 72 hours. Announcements in the Updates channel and private messages between you and your coach persist until deleted, or until you delete your account.

If you stop using the app without deleting your account, for example if you leave your gym or coaching program, your data stays as it is until you delete it or ask us to.

You can permanently delete your account inside the app: open your profile and use Delete my account in the Danger Zone. This immediately erases your logs, points, streaks, journal, profile, messages, and any photos you posted in chat, your workout log, and cannot be undone. If you connected Oura or Strava, deleting your account also removes your stored Oura and Strava data and tokens. Deleting your account does not cancel an active Stripe subscription; cancel that separately (see "Payments").

You can also email ryan@ltsathletics.com to request deletion, and we will handle it for you.

Stripe retains its own billing and transaction records for as long as financial regulations require, separately from your app account.

9.Your choices & rights

If a law such as California's privacy statutes or the EU's GDPR applies to you, you generally have the right to know what personal data we hold, correct it, delete it, and receive a copy of it. We extend these same choices to every member, regardless of where you live, because it is the right way to run this, not only because a specific law requires it.

10.Children

LTS Athletics is built for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, or that we have collected a child's data by mistake, email ryan@ltsathletics.com and we will delete it.

11.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. When we do, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, for example a new category of data or a new third party, we will tell you inside the app before it takes effect.
