LTS Athletics

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 8, 2026

LTS Athletics is a habit-coaching app built and operated by LTS Athletic LLC, based in San Marcos, California ("we," "us," "LTS Athletics"). This policy explains what the app collects, why, who can see it, and how you can control or delete it. It covers the LTS Athletics app only, not our website or social media accounts.

The short version

This box is a plain-language summary. The full sections below are what actually govern.

1.What we collect

Your account

An email address and password, used to sign you in through Supabase, our authentication provider. Your password is hashed before it is stored; we do not keep it in plain text and cannot read it. You also choose a display name, which is what other members see, not your email address.

Your check-ins

Which daily habits you complete, your points, your level, and your streaks.

Optional wellness logging

If you choose to log them: alcoholic drinks, caffeine in milligrams, cigarettes, vapes, nicotine pouches, cannabis, added sugar and cheat meals, for the day. Weight entries and food log entries are stored with your account when you add them. An evening journal covering energy, stress, mood, and soreness scores, whether your "kitchen is closed," context tags for the day such as a long workday, travel or a social event, and an optional note up to 200 characters.

Progress photos you add are stored with your account. From version 1.6.2 they are uploaded to a private storage area that only you and your coach at LTS can open, through time-limited links. Photos uploaded by earlier app versions remain in the older location until a coming update moves them.

Your profile

Whatever you choose to fill in: sex, your goal and your "why," height, weight, age, body fat percentage, typical weekly activity level, work hours, habits you are trying to break, current injuries or issues, and notes to your coach. Height, weight, age, sex, and activity level feed directly into your daily nutrition and training targets.

Community and coaching

Messages and photos you post in group chat channels, and private messages between you and your coach. Friend requests you send, accept, decline, or ignore, and any member you block. If you send LTS a feature, equipment or bug request from the app, the text and any photos you attach are posted in a private request thread that only you and LTS can read, saved with your name, and emailed to us.

Competitions

Duels, pacts, and group challenges you join or create, and your results in them. If a challenge asks for progress photos, they are optional, stored in a private area that only you and LTS can open, and never posted without your written OK (see the challenge rules at /rules.html).

Connected services (optional)

If you connect Oura, Strava or Apple Health, we collect additional data described in their own sections below, because they involve real health data and deserve a closer look.

Payments

Handled entirely by Stripe. See "Payments" below for what that means.

Automatically, in the background

Our hosting and backend providers, Supabase and Netlify, log standard technical information to keep the app secure and reliable, such as IP address, device, and browser type. We do not use this for tracking or advertising, and we do not run any analytics or advertising tools inside the app. The iPhone app also registers a device token with Apple and saves it with your account so we can send you push notifications (see "How we use it").

2.How we use it

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. Ever.

3.Who can see what (members and your coach)

Everyone on the leaderboard

Every member can see your display name, level, points, streak, and daily ring completion (how many of your habit targets you hit that day), and, if you record outdoor sessions, your weekly miles on the cardio miles board. Nothing else is shown there by default.

Friends see more, if you let them

Your goal and your "why" are visible to friends by default; you can switch this to private in your profile's privacy settings. Your height, weight and age are private by default; you choose whether to share them with friends. Friendship requires two-way consent: you send a request, the other person accepts it. Either of you can block a member at any time, which ends the connection.

Your coach

If you are an active coaching client of LTS, your coach at LTS Athletic LLC can see your full profile, logs, journal, vices, food log and progress photos, regardless of your privacy settings, because coaching decisions depend on that information. For every other member, the LTS owner's console shows only points, level, streak and check-in activity; it opens the full record only during a support lookup, which is recorded.

If you joined through another coach's link (a coach team), that coach can see your check-in rate, streak, last log day and membership status, your team chat messages, whether you marked the sessions they assigned you done or skipped, and the runs you choose to share (see "Location and runs"). That coach does not see your detailed logs, your journal, your vices, your food log, your health data, or the exercises, sets and weights in your workouts (only the summary line every member sees on the team board). You are told this at signup. If you want to leave a coach team, email us.

Chat and messages

Group chat channels are visible to every member of that channel, including any photos posted there. A photo you post in chat is stored at a random, unlisted web address; anyone who has that exact link can open it. Private messages between you and your coach are visible only to the two of you. Direct messages you start with a friend, and groups you create with friends, are visible only to the people in them; you can leave a group at any time. See "Retention & deletion" for how long messages stick around.

Competitions

Duels, pacts, and group challenges are visible to the people taking part in them. Challenge scoring on our server may check whether a connected ring or Strava account recorded a workout or a night's sleep; the readings themselves are not shown to other entrants.

4.Apple Health (iOS and Apple Watch apps)

If you allow it, the app reads from Apple Health, on your device, using Apple's HealthKit framework: your workouts (the workout type, duration, calories, average heart rate, and start time) and your day's steps, active energy and stand hours. For runs, rides, swims, walks and hikes it also reads the distance, the route and the extra measurements your watch recorded, such as pace, running power or stroke count, to show them to you. We use this to automatically check off your training habit, to light up your daily activity goals, and to show your day's workouts inside the app. The app does not read sleep from Apple Health; sleep comes from Oura or from what you log yourself.

If you start a workout from the LTS Apple Watch app, LTS also saves that workout to Apple Health when you end it: the workout type, its duration, and the calories and heart rate measured during the session. The same happens when you finish a workout you logged in the iPhone app: LTS saves that workout (type, duration and calories) to Apple Health so it counts toward your Apple activity rings. We never write anything you did not log yourself, and we never change or delete anything else in your Health data.

5.Oura (optional)

If you connect an Oura Ring account, our server fetches your data directly from Oura's API, not from your phone, and stores it linked to your account. This includes your daily readiness, sleep, and activity scores, plus the detail behind them: sleep stages and duration, time in bed, sleep efficiency, bedtimes, resting heart rate and heart rate variability, breathing rate, body temperature trend, step count, calories, and activity-intensity minutes.

We use this to personalize your daily targets and to automatically verify sleep and training habits. Your data syncs automatically about once an hour while your Oura connection stays active.

Because this is detailed health data, we treat it carefully: the readings are visible only to you, never shown to your coach, on the leaderboard or to friends, and never used for advertising or sold to anyone. The habits it verifies show in your log like any other check-in.

You can disconnect Oura at any time in the app under Profile, then Connections, which also removes your stored Oura data; by removing LTS Athletics' access from your Oura account settings; or by emailing us and we will disable the connection on our end.

5a.Strava (optional)

If you connect a Strava account, our server fetches your recent activities directly from Strava's API and stores them linked to your account: the activity type, when it started, how long it lasted, and its estimated calories. We use this to log your workouts automatically, verify your training habit and fill your daily activity bar. Under Strava's API terms, activities synced from Strava are shown only to you: they do not appear on the team board or in what friends can see.

We store the tokens Strava gives us so we can keep syncing while your connection is active. Those tokens are held server-side only, and the app itself can never read them. Your activities sync shortly after you connect and then about once an hour.

You can disconnect at any time in the app under Profile, then Connections, which also removes your synced activities; by revoking LTS Athletics in your Strava settings under My Apps; or by emailing us and we will remove the connection and your synced activities on our end.

5b.Workout log

You can log workouts by hand in the app: the exercises, sets, weight and reps, and the duration. From that we compute totals like volume lifted, weight moved per muscle group, an estimated calorie figure, and a strength trend per lift. A logged workout is saved on our server with its exercises, sets, duration, estimated calories and, when a watch or strap recorded it, the average heart rate. Workouts synced from Strava, and sessions you start from the LTS Apple Watch app, land in the same log.

What teammates can see: the summary line for each workout you log this week: your name, the day, total volume, number of sets, and duration. They do not see your individual exercises, weights, reps, or heart rate, and they do not see activities synced from Strava. When you finish a workout, teammates get a short in-app note that you banked one. Your coach at LTS Athletic LLC can see your full log to coach you.

Friends, by your choice: if you turn on "Workout detail" under Profile, privacy, friends you have added and who added you back can also see the exercises, weights and reps of your workouts and copy one into their own plan. A second switch, "Tell friends when I finish", sends those friends a push saying you finished a workout and for how long. Both are off until you turn them on.

Workout logs are deleted with your account.

5c.Location, run recording and sharing runs with a coach

Recording a run, ride, walk or hike. When you record a session in the iPhone app, it uses your precise location to measure distance and pace and to draw your route. Location is read only while a session is recording, including while your phone is locked, and never at any other time. The route stays on your phone and in Apple Health. It is not sent to our servers. A route you save in the planner is stored with your account so you can reuse it.

Share live location (off by default). If you switch this on for a session, your phone sends its position to our server about every 20 seconds so that a person holding your private link can follow you on a map. The link is view-only: it cannot start, stop or change your session. It shows your position while the session is open and for fifteen minutes after it ends. A session that goes silent for two hours is closed, and the positions are deleted after 7 days by a scheduled job. The map on the link page is drawn with OpenStreetMap tiles, so the viewer's browser contacts OpenStreetMap to load the map.

Share my runs with my coach (off by default). If you joined through a coach's link and switch this on, the app sends a summary of each run, ride, swim, walk and hike to our server so your coach can see it: the date, distance, time, calories, heart rate, climb, mile splits and time in each heart rate zone. Routes and locations are not included. Only your own coach can see these, and only while sharing is on. Switching it off deletes everything that was shared, and shared runs older than 150 days are removed automatically.

5d.Health markers, calm and cycle tracking

What you type in. The Health screen lets you keep a private log: blood pressure, resting heart rate, VO2 max, grip strength, dead-hang times, waist size, and lab values such as cholesterol, glucose and A1c, typed in or, where the report reader is offered, read from a photo of a lab report (see "Sharing & processors"). The Calm screen records the breathing sessions you finish. If you switch on cycle tracking, the app stores the dates your periods started. All of this is optional. It is saved to your account so it follows you between devices.

Who can see it. Only you. The numbers you type into the Health screen, your calm sessions and your cycle dates are left out of everything coaches, friends and the leaderboard receive. This is stricter than the rest of your account, which is shared as described in section 3. We do not use this data for advertising and we never sell it.

Apple Health. If you allow it, the iPhone app also reads resting heart rate, heart rate variability and VO2 max from Apple Health to show your trends. These readings are shown on your device and are not stored on our servers.

Not medical advice. The ranges and notes shown next to your numbers are general information from public health guidelines. LTS is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat any condition. Cycle tracking is not for birth control.

Removing it. You can delete any entry in the app, and turning cycle tracking off hides it. Deleting your account deletes all of it.

6.Payments

An LTS membership is one subscription that unlocks the whole app. In the iOS app it is sold through Apple in-app purchase, monthly or yearly at the prices shown in the app, and billed to your Apple ID; Apple handles the payment and we receive only a receipt that tells us your membership is active. On the web it is currently $11.99 per month, billed and processed entirely by Stripe. New accounts get a short free period, set by LTS, before a membership is required, and the yearly plan in the iOS app may carry an introductory free trial through Apple; one free trial per person. We never see or store your card number, expiration date, or any other card details; Stripe handles all of that. Your display name is passed to Stripe as a reference so we can match your payment to your account, and we store your subscription status (active, trialing, or canceled) along with Stripe's reference IDs to keep your access in sync.

Your subscription renews automatically until canceled. Canceling your subscription is separate from deleting your account: deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Cancel an Apple subscription in Settings, Apple ID, Subscriptions. Cancel a web subscription through Stripe, or email us and we will cancel it for you.

Stripe keeps its own billing and transaction records as required by financial regulations, independent of anything we store.

7.Sharing & processors

We share data only with the service providers that make the app work, and only what each one needs to do its job:

Two more services carry messages for us: Resend delivers the email when you send LTS a feature request, and Apple delivers push notifications to your iPhone. The web app loads its scripts and fonts from jsDelivr and Google Fonts; the iPhone app bundles them. The live-location link page loads its map script from unpkg and its map tiles from OpenStreetMap. That is the complete list. No ad networks, no analytics trackers, no data brokers, no third party we have not named here. We do not sell your personal data to anyone, under any circumstances. We would only share your data outside this list if required by law, for example a valid subpoena, or to protect the safety of our members.

8.Retention & deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active.

Group chat messages, including team, challenge and request-thread messages, are automatically deleted after about 72 hours by a scheduled job on our server. A photo attached to a chat message is not removed automatically today: it stays in storage until LTS removes it or your account is deleted, and automatic removal is planned. Announcements in the Updates channel, private messages between you and your coach, and direct messages and groups between friends persist until deleted, or until you delete your account.

If you stop using the app without deleting your account, for example if you leave your gym or coaching program, your data stays as it is until you delete it or ask us to.

You can permanently delete your account inside the app: open your profile and use Delete my account in the Danger Zone. This erases your logs, points, streaks, journal, profile, messages and workout log right away, and cannot be undone. Photo files (chat photos and progress photos) are not removed by that same step today; we remove them separately within 30 days. If you connected Oura or Strava, deleting your account also removes your stored Oura and Strava data and tokens right away. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription; cancel that separately (see "Payments").

You can also email ryan@ltsathletics.com to request deletion, and we will handle it for you.

Stripe retains its own billing and transaction records for as long as financial regulations require, separately from your app account.

9.Your choices & rights

If a law such as California's privacy statutes or the EU's GDPR applies to you, you generally have the right to know what personal data we hold, correct it, delete it, and receive a copy of it. We extend these same choices to every member, regardless of where you live, because it is the right way to run this, not only because a specific law requires it.

10.Children

LTS Athletics is built for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, or that we have collected a child's data by mistake, email ryan@ltsathletics.com and we will delete it.

11.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. When we do, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, for example a new category of data or a new third party, we will tell you inside the app before it takes effect.
